TRB Webinar: Equity in Artificial Intelligence Applications

May 22, 2023

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM (EDT)

Past

From drones to autonomous vehicles, the way we think of transportation is changing. Considering equity in artificial intelligence (AI) in transportation infrastructure is necessary to ensure no demographic or location is being impacted disproportionately. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Eastern that explored AI technologies that have a direct impact on transportation, such as smart cities and Internet of Things. Presenters shared ways to identify inequitable uses and potential solutions with AI in transportation, how AI can equitably impact transportation, and considerations for application.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Applications.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
