Securing AI Systems: New Challenges and Research Priorities

Announcement

Join us on April 20 and 21 for a meeting being held to identify research priorities for securing machine learning and AI-enabled systems. The National Academies’ Forum on Cyber Resilience will convene experts in cybersecurity and AI to examine frameworks and concepts for measuring AI security, assess how existing cybersecurity tools and practices can be adapted, and explore potential risks in high-impact applications such as scientific research, drug discovery, and financial services.

Policy Issues for Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Cancer Research and Care: A Workshop

Announcement

This workshop examined the current and potential future uses of AI in cancer care, and ways to anticipate and address challenges related to integration of these technologies in the care of patients with cancer. A recording from the workshop is now available to watch.

Integrating Data and Computing into K-12 Education Is Critical and Requires Coordinated Approach To Be Effective, Says New Report

Computing and data shape nearly every aspect of modern life. In recent years, efforts to expand data and computing education in K-12 settings have grown rapidly but unevenly. A new National Academies report offers a road map for state and local education agencies to integrate this content into school curricula and courses in a consistent manner.
