Obstructions for trees around airports can hinder aircraft operations, requiring airports to manage tree growth on and off airport property. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Eastern that helped identify mitigation strategies to address immediate needs and long-term planning. Presenters discussed data collection methods and considerations for each mitigation strategy.
This webinar was based on ACRP Research Report 259: Methods to Manage Tree Growth Near Airports.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program.
