U.S. - Egypt Collaborative Research Grants
Collaborative Research Grants foster research collaboration between Egyptian and U.S. scientists, with up to $200,000 USD available for each country’s research team. Researchers from U.S. and Egyptian scientific institutes, universities, and research centers are eligible to apply. U.S.
On March 26, 2025, USAID informed the National Academy of Sciences that it should terminate all work on this activity. U.S. implementation of this activity has ended and any inquiries related to Egyptian activities under this program should be directed to the Egyptian Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (stdf.eg).

Description
Collaborative Research Grants increase and strengthen cooperation between researchers and institutions in Egypt and the U.S. in order to contribute to the human and economic development of Egypt. Additionally, collaborative grants increase the role of science, technology, and innovation in promoting economic growth to address challenges.
