This activity was supported by the Member Organizations of the Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education.

| Building on the findings and recommendations of the National Academies' 2018 report on Sexual Harassment of Women, a committee, under the auspices of the Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education, will convene a two-part workshop to explore the need for and development of tools for department chairs and principal investigators to prevent and respond to sexual harassment. Such tools may include creating and communicating cultural norms and institutional policies; intervening before behavior escalates; negotiating conflict between individuals; and making a formal report of sexual harassment when information is disclosed. Specifically, the workshop will explore the following questions:

The workshop will be summarized into an interactive proceedings-in-brief to help inform higher education administrators, practitioners, faculty, and staff about the needs of these key academic leaders and about tools that have been developed to meet their needs.
