Training the Health Care Workforce to Improve Cognitive, Affective, and Behavioral Health Outcomes for Children, Youth, and Families: A Workshop

The public workshop will focus on the development and training of the healthcare workforce that promotes children’s behavioral health and wellbeing. Panelists will address the needs for workforce development, current training protocols and programs, and core competencies for a number of health professions including pediatric medicine, family medicine, nursing, pediatric psychology and behavioral health, child psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, public health, social work, counseling, and parent coaches in an effort to address the promotion of children’s health in an interdisciplinary and multi-generational manner.
