The Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education (IHPE) will host a hybrid public workshop exploring drivers and influencers of health professional education admissions processes. National and International educators will share experiences and strategies in setting up appropriate criteria for admissions and assess whether outcomes of health professional education are meeting the needs of our global population.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education (IHPE) will host a public workshop series exploring drivers and influencers of health professional education admissions processes. National and international educators will share experiences and strategies in successful admissions outcomes and whether these outcomes are meeting the needs of our global population.

A virtual Pre-Workshop, "Developing a Theory of Change for the Admissions Process" was held on February 22, 2024. The planning committee discussed the need for change in health professional education admissions to ensure a workforce that has the competency, willingness, and commitment to address societal needs. Please watch the recording here.

In this second virtual Pre-Workshop, "Guiding the Applicant", participants will discuss ways to better guide applicants into health professions throughout the admissions process. This session aims to engage with prospective learners to better understand the applicant journey. A panel of admissions experts and advisors will share and discuss current recruitment strategies and perspectives.

All Pre-Workshop sessions are recorded and posted on the website. Registrants of this Workshop Series are encouraged to watch both Pre-Workshops (Theory of Change & Guiding the Applicant) before our March 27-28 Workshop.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education (IHPE) will host a public workshop series exploring drivers and influencers of health professional education admissions processes. In this 1-hour virtual pre-workshop, participants will explore whether there needs to be a change in the admissions process for health professions education and develop a theory of change. This pre-workshop session will be livestreamed and recorded. Registrants to the March 27-28 Workshop are encouraged to watch Pre-Workshop recordings if unable to attend the meeting virtually.
