This roundtable series will explore how the U.S. Army can make informed investments to strengthen its logistics capabilities for the Asia-Pacific Theater. It also will provide the Army a means for representatives of government, industry, private businesses, academia, and other stakeholder groups to gather in a neutral setting to identify and discuss issues relating to logistics technology.

The fifth roundtable will examine the resiliency of the Army's Prepositioned Stock Plans (APS) and propose improvements or alternative strategies to address supply chain, latency, and geographic challenges. It will also examine how the Army will collaborate with other services and agencies to accomplish its logistics mission. The roundtable will identify specific technical obstacles inhibiting the necessary inter-service integration, review those joint challenges, and identify collaborative R&D opportunities to improve joint logistics operations.

The logistics environment for the Department of Defense is evolving to meet changing needs in the Asia-Pacific Theater. In this joint environment, the U.S. Army has unique mission requirements and will need to understand the current cutting edge logistics technology tools and where those tools can help fill capability gaps.

This roundtable series will explore how the U.S. Army can make informed investments to strengthen its logistics capabilities for the Asia-Pacific Theater. It also will provide the Army a means for representatives of government, industry, private businesses, academia, and other stakeholder groups to gather in a neutral setting in order to identify and discuss issues relating to logistics technology.

The fourth roundtable will explore the technical challenges of additive manufacturing in austere locations (with power limitations, high humidity, limited communications), as well as the specific materials and capabilities that the Army needs to field in the Pacific theater to accomplish its mission.
