GUIRR at 40: Reimagining the Triple Helix of Innovation, Investments, and Partnerships

June 25 - 26, 2024

Past

For 40 years, GUIRR has played a crucial role as a convener and advocate for its members and the scientific enterprise. In that time, the scientific enterprise has radically evolved and will continue to change with the progress of scientific innovation. New stakeholders beyond GUIRR’s traditional Government-University-Industry membership have appeared, and new and diverse funding structures have been constructed. Globalization has created opportunities and threats for U.S. R&D, new partnerships to shepherd basic research into innovative technology have been created, and technological change is rapidly accelerating. This workshop will reflect on GUIRR’s 40-year history of partnership building to envision how GUIRR can aspire to participate in constructing a more agile and efficient national innovation ecosystem for the next decade.

This meeting is for GUIRR members and invited guests only. If you have not received the registration link directly and your organization is part of the GUIRR membership, please contact jgriffiths@nas.edu for the registration link.
