Airports are seeking opportunities to create touchless experiences for passengers, which will reduce common touchpoints and their potential for disease transmission. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that explored the industry landscape of emerging and existing technologies and nontechnological solutions to eliminate common airport touchpoints, improving both efficiency and public health. Presenters reviewed current best practices and readiness levels, shared expected barriers to implement touchless solutions, and provided specific tips to get started. Presenters also addressed the facilitation of touchless technology, accessibility, and the customer experience.
