2026 TRB Annual Meeting

January 11 - 15, 2026

Upcoming

Convened by TRB, the 2026 TRB Annual Meeting is held January 11 - 15, 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.

The TRB Annual Meeting attracts thousands of transportation professionals from around the world. The program covers all transportation modes, with sessions and workshops addressing topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.

Professional Development

Continuing Education Credits

Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for attending the TRB Annual Meeting may be recognized by some licensure and certification agencies. It is recommended that you check with your own state licensure/certification agency about their specific requirements for PDHs. Each hour of participation typically earns one PDH. Attendees must maintain their own records of attendance, and can do so using this downloadable form. At the request of a licensing or certifying agency, TRB will confirm an individual’s meeting registration, however TRB is not able to confirm attendance at specific sessions.

Certification Maintenance (CM) credits—approved by the American Planning Association (APA) for retaining American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification—are offered for some sessions at the TRB Annual Meeting. Persons seeking AICP CM credits must record their credits directly with APA. Approved CM credit sessions are available in the Online Program.

Requesting Function Space

Requesting Function Space

We agree to follow the above Policies and Procedures for Requesting Function Space. We understand that TRB will confirm space assignments beginning November 15 to nonprofit organizations and government agencies only. Exhibit displays are not allowed. After receiving room assignments, and before December 15 we will contact the venue to finalize arrangements including food and beverage, audiovisual, special setups, and to establish credit/billing status, if applicable.

News Media Registration

Approved media can register to attend the TRB Annual Meeting at no charge.

A history of being registered as News Media for a past TRB Annual Meeting does not pre-qualify an individual to receive media registration for the 2026 meeting. You must be approved each year.
