Appendix A
Statement of Task
A National Academies issue paper will discuss context-specific definitions of mid-scale manufacturing, challenges and barriers of mid-scale manufacturing in the United States, and lessons learned from others. The paper may also discuss potential opportunities and directions for the Department of Defense.
