Economic factors are an important driver of health. This event continued the Roundtable's exploration of economic factors that shape health and impact equity. The virtual workshop featured presentations and discussions that explored research, practices, and innovative policies relevant to the health and economic stability of families and workers, especially workers in the care economy (e.g., those who care for the nation's youngest and oldest residents).

In addition, the Well-being and Equity (WE) in the World and the Well Being in the Nation (WIN) Network have developed a library of policies to advance more equitable economies in the U.S. During the workshop's intermission, we invited workshop attendees to rate these policies as they relate to a care economy and discuss them with Soma Saha and Anne De Biasi from WE in the World.
