The Standing Committee on Offshore Wind Energy and Fisheries invites you to its winter public virtual meeting on December 17 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM ET and December 18 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM ET. The meeting will feature updates from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and presentations on key topics, including fish observations from a Mid-Atlantic development site, commercial fish species and habitatnon-lethal survey sampling methods, and findings from recent hydrodynamics studies in two locations on the east coast. The event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.

The Standing Committee on Offshore Wind Energy and Fisheries will hold its Spring public virtual meeting on April 08 from 1:30pm-4:30pm ET and April 09 from 1:00pm-4:30pm ET.

The Standing Committee will hear offshore wind development updates from each of BOEM’s regional offices, a short briefing of a relevant NASEM report, and from BOEM's policy office about BOEM/BSEE Split Rule. Panel discussions on the Synthesis of the Science Report and Special Initiative on Offshore Wind Fisheries Mitigation Project will be held as well as Q&As and discussions of future potential meeting topics.

The Standing Committee on Offshore Wind Energy and Fisheries will hold its Spring public hybrid meeting on April 26-27. This first hybrid meeting of the standing committee will focus on the current state of offshore wind energy development. The standing committee will hear about the Bureau on Ocean Energy Management (BOEM)‘s wind energy commercial leasing process, and the state of offshore wind development from each of BOEM’s regional offices. The standing committee will also hold panel discussions on the information presented by BOEM and share thoughts from their areas of expertise. The public is welcome to attend.
