Rebalancing the Future Research Ecosystem: From Vision to Action, hosted by the Government–University–Industry–Philanthropy Research Roundtable (GUIPRR) and the National Science Board (NSB), will bring together leaders across sectors to address urgent needs and structural gaps in the U.S. research enterprise. With an emphasis on industry and philanthropy, the summit will launch a 12–18-month strategy to accelerate research through speed, scale, and coordinated investment. Sessions will explore public–private alignment, workforce development, national security, and economic incentives. The summit will emphasize producing a concise set of practical, high-impact actions with clearly defined responsibilities, and will translate these outcomes into an accessible format that supports communication with both decision-makers and the public.
