TRB Webinar: Accelerating Automated Vehicle Acceptance

To accelerate automated vehicle (AV) technology deployment, practitioners must set, measure, and monitor key AV safety and performance goals. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern that explored how to set and measure these goals to ensure public safety. Presenters shared current practices, the progress already made with setting goals for AV technologies, and identified obstacles that still remain to be solved.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Research Innovation Implementation.

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.

Professional engineers (PEs) who register and attend the entire webinar as an individual will be awarded 2.0 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). TRB’s webinar program awards PDH credits only to the registered individual, and not to other members of a group that view the webinar together. To be eligible for the credits, individuals must remain signed in for the entire webinar, including for any question and answer session following the presentations.
