TRB Webinar: Transportation Asset Management in a COVID-19 World

July 15, 2020

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM (EDT)

Past

Over the past two decades, transportation asset management principles have become key tools in investment decisions. With the greatly constrained revenues suddenly realized due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the orderly implementation of these principles has been disrupted. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM Eastern with transportation agency executives who examined the impact COVID-19 has had on their agencies’ asset management programs. They discussed how they are adjusting their operational budgets, and how the pandemic will impact their asset management programs.

A mobile-friendly version of a resulting Circular is available.
Panelists:

  • Carlos Braceras, Executive Director, Utah Department of Transportation
  • Julie Lorenz, Secretary, Kansas Department of Transportation, and Director, Kansas Turnpike Authority
  • Therese McMillan, Executive Director, Bay Area Metro
  • Leslie Richards, General Manager, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority
  • Greg Slater, Secretary, Maryland Department of Transportation
  • Paul Wiedefeld, General Manager and CEO, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority

Moderated by Neil Pedersen, Executive Director, TRB
