TRB Webinar: Legal Issues and Emerging Technologies in Public Transit

June 8, 2023

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (EDT)

Past

New technologies that could benefit public transportation are rapidly and continually emerging—autonomous and connected vehicles, mobility-as-a-service, route planning and optimization software—but raise legal questions that transportation attorneys must address within the existing regulatory and legislative framework to realize the full benefits. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that provided guidance on navigating common legal challenges that arise from public transit agencies’ consideration and implementation of new and emerging technologies.

This webinar is based on TCRP Legal Research Digest 59: Legal Issues and Emerging Technologies.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Transit Cooperative Research Program.
