Fourth Arab-American Frontiers Symposium
The Arab-American Frontiers program is participant driven: an organizing committee of 12 members makes the selection of session topics, suggests speakers, and chairs the individual sessions during the symposium. The session topics presented at the symposium were:
- Session I: Solar Energy and Water for Sustainable Living
- Session II: Nanotechnology for Next Generation Electronics and Photonics
- Session III: Exploring the Brain
- Session IV: Advances in Petroleum Geosciences, Oil and Gas Exploration
- Session V: New Spacecraft Technologies for Earth and Space Exploration

The Arab-American Frontiers program convenes U.S. and Arab scientists, engineers, and medical professionals to discuss major scientific advances on a wide array of topics relevant to the MENA region and globally. The goal is to enhance the scientific exchange and dialogue among young researchers in Arab countries and the United States, and through this interaction, facilitate research collaboration within and beyond the region.
The fourth Arab-American Frontiers symposium was held in partnership with the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, NYU Abu Dhabi, Khalifa University and Petroleum Institute, and hosted by the Masdar Institute on November 5-7, 2016. The meeting convened U.S. and Arab scientists, engineers and medical professionals to discuss major scientific advances on a wide array of topics relevant to the MENA region and globally.
