Supplemental Treatment of Low-Activity Waste at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation

Completed

The National Academies has appointed an expert committee of 13 members to provide a concurrent peer review of the analysis performed by a team led by a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC). This team includes about a dozen experts from several national laboratories. This analysis is needed to help DOE-EM decide on a supplemental method for treating low-activity waste at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. This consensus study is mandated by Congress.
