In progress

The Gulf Research Program of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will convene an in-person workshop to examine challenges, opportunities, and research needs related to offshore energy safety, security, and risk management across the Gulf region and U.S. outer continental shelf. The event will bring together researchers, practitioners, and other experts to explore how academic and scientific approaches can strengthen energy leadership and economic competitiveness through improved energy safety. Topics may include collaborative research strategies, sustainable development, and innovations in offshore energy risk mitigation.
