A planning committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (the National Academies) will organize and host a 2 day public workshop that will examine current practice and challenges associated with patient evaluation via telehealth. The workshop will feature invited presentations and panel discussions on topics including:

An overview of telehealth terminology and common modalities
Use of telehealth to conduct patient evaluations in specialty medicine and allied health
The impact of the digital divide on telehealth access
Privacy and cybersecurity concerns related to the use of telehealth
Interstate licensure and telehealth
