U.S. National Committee for Soil Sciences (USNC/SS)
The National Academy of Sciences withdrew as the U.S. adhering member of the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS), effective July 1, 2026, and no longer serves as the U.S. adhering body to the Union. As a result, the U.S. National Committee for Soil Sciences (USNC/SS) has been dissolved. This page is retained for historical purposes and reflects the National Academy of Sciences’ former relationship with the International Union of Soil Sciences.
