The Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable will hold a workshop to consider the “axioms of innovation”, or the underpinning norms, conditions, and culture of innovation environments in the United States and globally. Participants will discuss the new trends in theory, the practice of innovation, and the innovation-fostering partnerships that induce collaboration across sectors and disciplines. Panels will discuss how to measure, incentivize, and structure innovation, as well as compare different innovation cultures.

Description
A planning committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will organize a workshop to consider the underpinning norms, conditions, and culture of innovation environments in the United States and globally. The workshop will discuss new trends in the theory and practice of innovation, to enable innovation-fostering partnerships and collaboration across sectors and disciplines. A rapporteur-authored proceedings-in brief will be published summarizing the workshop.
