Standing Committee on Primary Care
The National Academies Standing Committee on Primary Care will discuss relevant primary care data and information during 2-4 public meetings each year and will serve as a focal point for discussions on priorities in primary care policy in the federal government. The committee will maintain surveillance of the primary care field, including published studies and changes in clinical practices and policies, and respond to questions from government agencies and sponsors.

Description
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) will establish a standing committee of experts in primary care delivery, research, and policy to inform federal primary care policy. The standing committee will maintain surveillance of the primary care field, including published studies and changes in clinical practices and policies. The committee will discuss relevant data and information during 2-4 public meetings each year and will serve as a focal point for discussions on priorities in primary care. As requested, the standing committee may issue reports in response to direct questions from federal agencies or sponsors. All activities of the standing committee will be conducted in accordance with institutional guidelines.
