The third annual State of the Science address will explore the status of the U.S. research enterprise, global science leadership, and economic competitiveness.

The address, to be delivered by National Academy of Sciences President Marcia McNutt, will be followed by a panel including Microsoft Chief Scientific Officer Eric Horvitz and other leaders in science and research, technology and innovation, policymaking, government, industry, and philanthropy.
