November 9, 2020

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (EST)

Past

The driving pace of change in automated vehicle (AV) technologies and mobility services is challenging traditional public sector transportation research methods. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern that discussed innovative research approaches for advancing AV technology and shared mobility practices that are used in the public and private sectors. Presenters discussed which approaches may be appropriate for use in traditional transportation programs at the federal, state, and local levels. They identified research used by universities, consultants, and the transportation industry.
