Many factors affect urban travel patterns, and public transportation must evolve to remain responsive. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 2-3:30 p.m. Eastern that provided actionable steps for redesigning transit networks to prepare for the future. Presenters discussed recent trends in bus network redesigns, including those caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). They also illustrated toolkits to help with the redesign processes, focusing on bus networks and the integration of new mobility.
The webinar features research from TCRP Report 221: Redesigning Transit Networks for the New Mobility Future. For additional resources, see TRB’s blog.
