September 28, 2021

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (EDT)

Past

If you are researching anything in transportation, you want to start with TRB’s TRID Database. Novice researchers, experts, and everyone in between was invited to a TRB webinar on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern. The webinar illustrated how to use TRID with reference management software such as EndNote and Zotero. The presenter discussed how to run searches and employ the Marked Records functionality to export results to reference management software.

TRID (one of the TRIS databases) helps researchers and transportation departments locate solutions to problems, avoid duplication of work, and save resources. It also satisfies the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requirements to consult TRB's TRIS databases to identify ongoing or previously completed research on a given topic.

Webinar agenda and presenters:

  1. What is TRID and how to run searches in TRID: Bill McLeod, TRB
  2. Using the Marked Records functionality and exporting records: Bill McLeod, TRB
  3. Question and answer session: Moderated by Elaine Ferrell, TRB

The first 45 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 15 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.
