The new American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Guide for Accommodating Utilities within Highway Right-of-Way will combine the utility accommodation policy and the utility accommodation guide. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that provided background on the laws and regulations that led to the development of the original documents and a summary of the recent NCHRP project that led to the development of the new guide. Presenters concluded with an outlook on the AASHTO publication process and the expected publication timeline.
