TRB Webinar: Solutions for Resilient Supply Chain Management

November 16, 2023

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM (EST)

Past

Social, economic, and geopolitical events have contributed to the demand shocks and severe operational and financial consequences for supply chain and freight industries in the United States. Companies are still facing the impacts of unprecedented demand, inventory, and material supply issues. These events highlight the significant need for resilience in supply chain management, continued monitoring for potential disruption factors, and plans to ensure business continuity. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern that shared knowledge and best practices in supply chain resilience and business continuity planning in a disruptive environment. Presenters shared lessons learned from public-private partnerships (P3 or PPP), public sector efforts to effectively implement freight resilience strategies and polices, and models and methods that can help both public and private sectors anticipate and plan for supply chain disruptions.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committees on Disaster Response, Emergency Evacuations, and Business Continuity and on Trucking Industry Research.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
