TRB Webinar: Capturing and Integrating Cost Data into Maintenance Management Systems

September 26, 2024

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM (EDT)

Past

One of the fundamental objectives of a Maintenance Management System (MMS) is capturing maintenance costs for analysis. Where in a system labor, equipment, and materials usage costs are captured can make a difference in the level of detail, accuracy, and timeliness of the cost information collected. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that helped agencies navigate the process of integrating cost data into the MMS to effectively manage and track maintenance expenditures. Presenters shared two cases studies from mature users of MMS, North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and West Virginia DOT.

This webinar was based on NCHRP Synthesis 629: Practices for Capturing and Integrating Cost Data in Maintenance Management Systems.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Standing Technical Committee on Maintenance Management Systems.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
