We are deeply disturbed and saddened by the news and images of a strike on the home of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.  We condemn this direct attack on the country’s scientific infrastructure and remain committed to supporting our colleagues at the Ukrainian academy in any way we can.

Since the war began, we have partnered with academies and philanthropies around the world to support the Ukrainian academy and to help researchers in Ukraine, and those who have been forced to flee, persevere in their studies and remain connected to scientists around the world.  We know that the Ukrainian research community is strong, and we will continue to stand by them.
