National Materials and Manufacturing Board
NMMB is responsible for the strategic planning, program development, and administrative oversight of studies and other activities that expand this existing body of work. Previous studies by NMMB and it's preceeding boards have covered a diversity of timely, consequential topics including global supply chains and national security, real-time detection of damage to materials in aerospace applications and of threat agents, integrated computational materials engineering, and management of existing U.S. materials resources.

Description
The mission of the National Materials and Manufacturing Board is to provide to the nation objective and independent technical and policy assessments on materials and manufacturing. The role of the board encompasses strategic planning, program development, and administrative oversight of studies and other activities initiated under its auspices at the NRC.
