In Times of Crisis: Stories from the Gulf of Mexico
When adversity strikes, academic and scientific partners can provide communities with knowledge that can contribute to recovery and resiliency. In Times of Crisis: Stories from the Gulf of Mexico focuses on the lived experiences of higher education professionals and local communities in the Gulf as they work together to overcome crises (e.g., hurricanes, oil spills, pandemics, environmental justice, chronic health issues) before, during, and after a crisis occurs. Our hope is that the collected stories and videos will demonstrate the power of collaboration and inspire academic-community partnerships.
