IIASA Young Scientists Summer Program - U.S.
The International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) offers an extraordinary opportunity for PhD candidates to spend a summer in a beautiful setting outside Vienna, Austria conducting cutting-edge, global policy-relevant research in its Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP). 50 international doctoral students are selected each year to be mentored by IIASA scientists, providing both individual and multi-disciplinary research experience. The National Academies has a limited number of fellowships to support travel and living expenses for successful YSSP applicants who are U.S. citizens or are enrolled in U.S. graduate programs.

Description
Every summer from 1 June to 31 August, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) hosts up to 50 doctoral students from around the world in its Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP). YSSP Fellows work on a project related to their own doctoral research, in close cooperation with senior researchers from IIASA. The National Academies has a limited number of fellowships to support travel and living expenses for successful YSSP applicants who are U.S. citizens or are enrolled in U.S. graduate programs.
