The Air Force Studies Board organized a 3-day workshop on combat search and rescue in contested environments to discuss and illustrate the challenges presented by the emergence of Anti-Access/Area Denial and Integrated Air Defense Systems. The workshop focused on the needs of the isolated personnel and how changes in training and equipment and the adaptation of new technologies can help to address the challenge.
