The NASEM will organize and convene a meeting of experts to solicit comments and observations on the partnership options for NASA’s Hi-Rate Composite Aircraft Manufacturing (HiCAM) Project to:
- Identify potential partnership objectives and approaches, including public-private partnerships, to facilitate meeting the project’s objectives;
- Elucidate key considerations such as technology transition and intellectual property and how these considerations can be addressed in the structuring of these partnerships;
- Identify contracting and procurement mechanisms for achieving partnership objectives and addressing key considerations; and
- Discuss lessons learned and how these may be applied to assist in meeting the project’s objectives.
