In the decade since the last AMO survey, there have been considerable advances in AMO science. These advances have fundementally changed not only this field buthave also strengthened its impact and relationship to other subfields of physics and other areas of science. This study will report on the status and future directions of atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) science for the next decade.
