COVID-19: Disaster Preparedness and Vulnerable Populations: A Workshop Series

Completed

COVID-19 raises questions regarding disaster preparedness for vulnerable populations. Three roundtables/forums within HMD (Forum on Medical Preparedness; Forum on Aging, Disability, and Independence; Roundtable on the Promotion of Health Equity) proposed a series of three one hour webinars on this topic. The first webinar focused on disaster planning and response activities that meet the needs of the whole community. The second webinar focused on home health workers providing services to individuals living with disabilities and older adults. The third webinar considered the needs of individuals living with disabilities and older adults and efforts to include these populations in disaster planning.
