Improving Health Outcomes for Children with Disabilities

Completed

The Social Security Administration requested that the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine convene an ad hoc committee to produce a report on health outcomes for school-aged children with disabilities. The Committee on Improving Health Outcomes for Children with Disabilities will review and assess programs, services, and supports available to these children and their families; describe overarching program, service, and treatment goals; examine outreach efforts and utilization rates; identify what outcomes are measured and how they are reported; and describe what is known about the effectiveness of these programs and services.
