The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Committee on Transforming Health Care to Create Whole Health: Strategies to Assess, Spread, and Scale the Whole Person Approach to Health will be holding a public session on December 16, 2021 from 10:30 A.M-2:30 PM ET.

This committee will examine the potential for improving health outcomes through a Whole Health Care model. The focus of this public session is to hear from proponents of whole health. During this session we will hear from:

Ursula Kelly, Associate Professor, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Emory University and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will speak about trauma sensitive yoga for female veterans with PTSD.
Robert Evans, Associate Medical Center Director (ret.), Western North Carolina VA Health Care System will speak about spiritual care and the Whole Person.
Gretchen Evans, Command Sergeant Major (ret.) will speak about the No Barriers Program.
April Kyle, President/CEO, Southcentral Foundation will give an overview of the Southcentral Foundation’s Nuka System of Care.
