This hybrid workshop examined the utilization of DNA sequencing as a supplement to traditional newborn screening for treatable but not clinically evident conditions in the newborn phase. The overarching goals of the workshop were to explore the current use of newborn DNA sequencing as well as the known and expected benefits, potential harms, ethical and data security and ownership issues, and equity in access to screening.
