The COVID-19 pandemic is transforming the global economy and STEMM workforce demands have changed as a result of the pandemic. During this event, policy leaders and subject matter experts discussed the impact that the pandemic has had on the national workforce as well as practices and policies that regional stakeholders have adopted in response to local challenges. In addition, the workshop explored actions that educational institutions, employers, training organizations, and policy makers could consider to address the changing workforce needs. Workshop foci may include: addressing the digital divide, social services to close workforce equity gaps, and the changing nature of work in STEMM fields.
