Building Defense Research Capacity at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, and Minority-Serving Institutions

Completed

Any project, supported or not by a committee, that has not deposited records to the Records Office.

A new hybrid workshop series will examine the key issues highlighted in the consensus study report, Defense Research Capacity at Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Other Minority Institutions: Transitioning from Good Intentions to Measurable Outcomes (2022). Discussions in the series will explore how to facilitate and sustain “true Partnerships” between HBCUs/TCUs/HSIs and academic institutions with very high research activity (R1) and the steps necessary to increase the defense-related research capacity of HBCUs/TCUs/HSIs. Workshops will feature the latest research to illuminate problems, barriers, and approaches to increase research capacity at these crucial institutions.
