In progress
The Strategic Council for Research Excellence, Integrity, and Trust serves as a venue for multiple stakeholders to advance collectively the integrity, ethics, resilience, and effectiveness of the research enterprise, while at the same time preparing it for tomorrow's challenges. The Strategic Council Working Groups address issues relevant to improving the research ecosystem.
Description
This Working Group seeks to identify a set of indicators of trustworthy research applicable across scientific disciplines by reviewing long-standing trustworthiness indicators including peer review, open scholarship, and reproducibility and creating an expanded framework that includes new indicators. This Working Group will propose an updated framework for indicators of trustworthiness in research in a published article. The preprint is currently available for public comment, with publication expected in 2025.
