Symposium Conclusion

Dan Arvizu, chair of the Committee on Extraordinary Engineering Impacts on Society, closed the event by thanking all the participants “for an absolutely delightful conversation” and “for giving us so much to think about.” The discussions at the symposium will contribute greatly to the work of the committee, he said. “The opportunity to provide societal impact is enormous with the kinds of skills, capabilities, and technologies that science and research have brought about. Now it’s a matter of connecting those capabilities with people.”
