Opening Remarks

Speakers

Marci Greenberger, ACRP, TRB

Adam Bouchard, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority

The Insight Event started with a welcome and overview by Marci Greenberger and Adam Bouchard. Greenberger explained that ACRP is an industry-driven, applied research program that develops near-term, practical solutions to airport challenges. She explained that ACRP is authorized by Congress, sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and managed by the Transportation Research Board. Greenberger also explained that ACRP’s Insight Events bring airport industry leaders, subject matter experts, and researchers together to discuss emerging topics of significance to airport operators. Greenberger stated that, “these in-depth, face-to-face gatherings are designed to promote communication and collaboration, foster innovation, and help identify areas of future interest and research.” As emcee, Bouchard provided an overview of the agenda, focusing on the fundamentals of on-demand aviation and AAM on Day 1 and public good use cases on Day 2.
