Committee on Toxicology
Established in 1947, the Committee on Toxicology has provided oversight of studies on environmental and occupational health issues bearing on the mission of the Department of Defense. Types studies undertaken by ad hoc committees include reviews of research programs, site-specific environmental health assessments, and development of occupational exposure guidelines for military-specific scenarios. The committee is comprised of nationally recognized experts in toxicology, infectious disease, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, occupational health, and risk assessment.
