TRB Webinar: Enhance Work Zone Safety with New Technologies

July 9, 2020

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM (EDT)

Past

Work zone safety for road workers remains a challenge. TRB conducted a webinar on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that explored several technologies for safer work zones. Presenters discussed technologies that mitigate work zone intrusion, such as the Autonomous Truck Mounted Attenuator. They also described intrusion alert technologies and identify how artificial intelligence applications may help improve work zone safety.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Maintenance and Operations Management.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
